The conference program will
consist of six plenary sessions
(Monday, Tuesday and Thursday)
with a concurrent poster session
(Monday and Tuesday) and an
in-conference field-tour (Wednesday).
Plenary Sessions
Each session will consist of
a 40-minute state-of-the-art
overview of the session theme
given by an invited keynote speaker
followed by a series of 20-minute
technical presentations.

The concurrent poster session
will occur during the refreshment
breaks during the first 2 days
of the conference. Posters
will be positioned to maximize
their visibility.
In-conference Field-tour
In the morning,
participants will have the opportunity
to visit the largest provincial
and federal forest research facilities
in Canada: specifically, the
Ontario Forest Research Institute
(http://ofri.mnr.gov.on.ca)
and the Great Lakes Forestry
Centre (http://www.glfc.cfs.nrcan.gc.ca),
respectively. In the afternoon,
participants will travel to the
Algoma Highlands forest area
to visit examples of complex
forest types. In the evening,
participants will dine enroute
at the Buttermilk Alpine Village
(http://www.buttermilkalpine.com)
and then be returned to the conference
hotel.
Participants are requested to wear appropriate attire and footwear and to be prepared for some trail walking, possibly in hot (25-30 deg C) or wet weather.
Note, all costs for the
tour are included in the registration
fee.
